7-HOUR CLASS; 60% RANGE, 40% CLASSROOM YOU MUST HAVE SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED INTRO TO OREGON CONCEALED CARRY CLASS AT CLATSKANIE RIFLE & PISTOL CLUB OR HAVE PRIOR INSTRUCTOR APPROVAL TO QUALIFY FOR THIS COURSE.

Intended Audience
This course is for persons who have already successfully completed INTRO TO OREGON CONCEALED CARRY and desiring supplementary handgun training to increase their level of knowledge, safety and proficiency. This course is not intended to meet the requirements of ORS166.291 as a prerequisite for initial licensing. Course Duration, Location:
Approximately 8 hours; both the classroom and live-fire sessions will be conducted at CRPC at 74223 Conyers Road, Clatskanie, Oregon.
Number of Attendees:
Minimum of six (6), maximum of ten (10) attendees per session. Private lessons are available at a different fee schedule; consult instructors for details. Prepayment is necessary to reserve a slot. Slots are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
Synopsis:
At the conclusion of this training the student will understand: how to safely draw and Re-holster their weapon, Take and maintain control of a situation, reload efficiently, shoot while holding a flashlight, situational awareness, concealed carry methods and accessories.
Materials:
Each attendee will be provided with a plastic training gun and holster for use during this class.
Equipment:
Attendees should bring their centerfire handgun and 150 rounds of commercially-produced ammunition (no reloaded ammunition, please). You must have a hip holster (no other types will be allowed) and a sturdy belt (at least 1 inch wide) .You must have a concealment garment (jacket, vest, etc.) .
If you have a semi-auto pistol bring at least two magazines; if you have a revolver bring at least two speedloaders or speed strips. You must bring eye and ear protection as these items are required, along with a pen or pencil. If you have any questions please discuss these requirements with the instructor before you register for this class. Please consult with the instructor if you have any questions or difficulties with the equipment requirements.
All firearms must be concealable, centerfire handguns (this means no .22 or .17 cal pistols); in addition, no single-action revolvers are permitted. Please contact the instructor by phone when you register so he is aware of the pistol caliber and type, plus other equipment you are bringing or may need to add.
This course is taught mostly outdoors; dress for the weather! You may bring food and beverages to the range but it is recommended you bring sanitizing wipes to clean your hands of GSR (gunshot residue) prior to eating or drinking.
Note: No open-toed
shoes should be worn during the range session, and long pants are advised for your safety.
Range procedures will be explained at the start of the class (safety briefing).
Cost:
Cost for this class is $60 for Clatskanie Rifle & Pistol Club members in good standing; $80 for non-members. Payment is required in advance by check/money order, made payable to Grace McKee. You must go to the Training page of the website shown below, print out and mail in your pre-registration form along with your payment if one was not included with this announcement.
